Sunday Drives...

Just as it states, Sunday Drives is a blog about our adventures.
Where we've been, how we got there, and the natural beauty we see inbetween.

So, grab some coffee, take a break, and let us take you on....a Sunday Drive.

Harpers Ferry, WV

The photo below is of an old church that was
burnt down during John Brown's raid on the Armory in 1859
during the Civil War.

The town Cemetary

I took this photo because I was not sure what the symbol
above Ethel's name was. I know the symbol above
W. Leon's name is, the Free Mason symbol.
A friend of mine thought Ethel's symbol was the
Eastern Star. However, you can't see it in the photo but in
the middle of the star is a small skull and cross bones!
Weird.....

This shot is just plain neat!

The town's cemetary again.

Mary Harper's grave on the left and Robert
Harper's grave on the right.

Jefferson's Rock

The view from Jefferson's Rock.

The old church on the hill.
I took this photo trying to show the neat
masonry and stained glass.

One Lord, One Faith,
One Baptisim

The Church on the Hill

This photo show the way the wood was cut.
It proves how old the buildings are!

The view from inside of one of the buildings.
Can you see the stone clif and
icicles?

A cool shot.

Old time alley way!

Mike next to some rifles!!
Watch-Out!!

The backside of "Downtown."

The Old Railway.

This is one old stone wall!

It's a..........
Tunnel!

One of my favorite
shots of Harpers Ferry!

Mike and I cold and hungry before
we left Harpers Ferry!
